The Anaheim Angels baseball team stunned the four-time defending AL champion New York Yankees in a four-game AL Division Series, with Jarrod Washburn getting the clinching victory in the Angels franchise's first postseason series win. The Angels scored a Division Series-record eight runs in the fifth inning and their 10 hits in the frame tied the postseason record set by the Philadelphia A's in the 1929 World Series.
